  Unfortunately, it is literally just a bunch of kids working here. A young guy told me that they didn't have a product that I wanted (which I had to go on the internet on my phone to show him). Stuff like that annoys me, and it seems as though there are no knowledgable staff left at most officeworks.

  I have had two bad encounters with the Print and Copy Service at Officeworks within the past year.
  
  Incident #1 9 November 2016
  
  I was getting my exam notes printed for the next day, and the store was relatively busy, there was perhaps around 5 people in the line for the Print and Copy Service.
  
  After waiting in line for around 10 minutes, I was served by a middle aged lady with long brown curly hair. After plugging my USB into the computer, and finding out that I need 5 documents to be printed, she told me that she will have to be printing other customers’ things in between each of mine documents, otherwise it will be unfair for them.
  
  This makes absolutely no sense to me, there is a line for a reason, we are in a civilised society where lining up as been accepted as the social norm functions as a way to keep things in an orderly manner. I have waited in line just like everyone else, and the fact that I cannot be served right away just because perhaps I had more than two pages to print out which she was expecting is extremely infuriating, and demonstrates to me that she doesn’t understand the basics of customer service, where you don’t put the blame on the customer where they have done nothing wrong, you simply go ahead and perform the task that you have been paid to do, i.e. serve the customer.
  
  In addition, the way she spoke to me was also extremely rude. She made me feel as though I was in the wrong, when I did nothing to deserve that type of treatment. I had to wonder in store for over twenty minutes to wait for her to print my documents of under 50 pages altogether.
  
  Incident #2 19 June 2017
  
  I arrived at Officeworks 5 minutes before 7am, the opening time, because I needed something to be printed urgently.
  
  The door was already opened so I went into the store, and approached the lady at the register. I asked her if I can get something printed, she looked up at me blankly, said yes, and looked back down to the thing she was working on before. I was confused, to say the least, and asked her if she was bale to help me, or if I had to print the documents myself. She looked up annoyed, and said “It’s 6.58am, we open at 7am, someone will be at the printing service when the store opens in two minutes”. I was shocked by her poor attitude. She could have said this to me in a much more appropriate manner when I first asked her, instead of being passive aggressive about it when I had to ask her to reaffirm what was happening. I understand that the store may not have been opened officially at 6.58am, but she was still wearing the Officeworks uniform, standing behind a counter at Officeworks, which meant at that moment, she was representing Officeworks, and her representation was extremely poor.
  
  These two experiences have left me feeling upset when I left the store. Officeworks Nunawading is the closest store to me, which means when I need something printed urgently, it is the store that I have to go to. Since these two experiences however, I feel stressed out overtime I have to go into the store, and fear what kind of service I will be getting.
  
  I am unsure of what current training program is in place at Officeworks, but it certainly needs an immediate upgrade.
  
  I have been served decently on occasions too, however both experiences have been with the slightly older female workers, and I can’t help but to see a pattern. Given that the older works are likely to be in the mindset that this is the job they will likely have for the rest of their lives, they do not see it as a place where they can improve themselves, but rather, a place that will give them the money to pay the bills. Not everyone has to love their job, but to be working in customer service, the least that any customer can expect is to be treated with respect by the workers, just as any person should in regular everyday encounters.

  Went to get some photos printed and staff Danny was very helpful.. I went just before closing time and still helped to complete the prints..
